Bligh Madris is an American-Palauan professional baseball outfielder for the Detroit Tigers of Major League Baseball. He previously played in MLB for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Houston Astros. Madris attended Foothill High School in Henderson, Nevada and played college baseball at Colorado Mesa University. He was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the ninth round of the 2017 Major League Baseball draft. Madris is of Palauan descent, and – upon making his MLB debut – he became the first Palauan to play in the major leagues.
