Wheelchair basketball legend Matt Scott has carved his name in Paralympic history. A five-time Paralympian, Matt’s dedication to excellence has propelled him to the top of his sport. His impressive career with Team USA includes back-to-back Paralympic gold (Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020), and a 12-year professional wheelchair basketball career playing in multiple leagues across Europe. His collection of accolades and commitment to raising the perception of wheelchair basketball have earned widespread support across the adaptive sports community.

Matt’s influence transcends the court. He became the first U.S. Paralympian in a Nike commercial, and his ability to captivate audiences showcasing his skills has led to endorsements with some of the world’s largest brands, including Google Pixel, Nike, Apple, Ralph Lauren, and Fitbit, to name a few. Matt has been such a powerful advocate for adaptive sports that he was nominated for an ESPY for his contributions. Empowerment and advocacy, Matt is passionate about uplifting the disability community. Recognizing the need for broader support, Matt launched Fly Without Limits, a global social impact organization. Fly Without Limits breaks down barriers for people with disabilities, equipping them with the tools and resources to reach their full potential. This organization is making a real difference, fostering a sense of inclusion and belonging within the disability community. Matt’s impact extends to the corporate world. As a corporate professional at Visa, he works on the global communications team focusing on brand, sponsorship, and innovation. Matt champions disability inclusion within the company and is very proud to provide representation at one of the world’s most powerful companies. In addition to his athletic and professional achievements, Matt made history by becoming the first and only Paralympian to report on both the Olympics and Paralympics. This groundbreaking role sends a powerful message to mainstream media about the importance of representation. Matt’s dual reporting highlights the need for diverse voices and perspectives in sports journalism, setting a precedent for future inclusion.
